Our webinar ‘Dietary Transitions in African Cities’ presents the findings of our two research projects, conducted in urban Ghana and Kenya, to leverage evidence for policy and intervention development to prevent diet-related non-communicable diseases.
Our webinar highlights the novel approaches we have used to collect data on food consumption and practices, factors influencing food choice and urban food environments. We discuss how we have used existing scientific evidence together with the views of local people and stakeholders to identify ways of promoting healthier diets in urban Africa. We held one webinar in French and a second in English.
