Policy and Practice Partners

SPHR @ Sheffield works closely with a broad range of public health professionals at local, regional and national levels.

Regionally and nationally, we engage with Public Health England and NHS England. Current projects include work with Public Health England to adapt the Sheffield SPHR Diabetes Model for wider use in public health decision-making.

A large number of Local Authorities across the Yorkshire & Humber and East Midlands regions have been involved in our NIHR SPHR activities in recent years. We also work with Clinical Commissioning Groups, third sector organisations, community groups and local people. We welcome partnership working with public health professionals wherever they are based.

Recent events have been very well-attended, with 5 Local Authorities and 18 third sector organisations represented at our 2015 Evaluation Workshop, and  6 Local Authorities and 11 third sector organisations contributing to our 2015 public involvement in research practice sharing event.
